This use of poetry was a new departure and an experiment for The Beano, dreamed up by editor Al Digby and me. It's publication was remarkably successful, resulting in a lot of positive feedback. Still not as popular as Dennis and the Bash Street Kids - but then... what is? We're going ahead with a few more adaptations. Watch this space.
